Ps Deitrick Haddon is a Contemporary gospel artist born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, where he served as Pastor and Music director at Detroit's Unity Cathedral of Faith.As the son of Bishop Clarence Haddon and Prophetess Joyce Haddon, he grew up in the church and preached his first sermon at the age of 11.

Deitrick Haddon and his Voices of Unity drew upon both secular and spiritual influences to create a sound they dubbed "gospel soul."


Signed to the Tyscot label, the group debuted in 1995 with Come Into This House. Two years later, Haddon and company issued Live the Life, which scored Gospel Music Workshop of America Excellence Awards in the categories of New Artist of the Year:

He continued to release albums that topped Billboard's Gospel Chart, including Deitrick Haddon's LXW (2014) and Masterpiece (2015).


In 2017, Haddon released a live LP, Deitrick Haddon & Hill City Worship Camp, led by the single "A Billion People."

Dougitoons Productions and By Faith Music Group have announced a groundbreaking event set to take place this October in London, UK; a Celebration Concert to  commemorate the 25th Anniversary of ‘Handel’s Messiah: A Soulful Celebration’.


Originally released in 1992 via Warner Warner Alliance, ‘Handel’s Messiah: A Soulful Celebration’ is a gospel album by various artists. Executive-produced by Norman Miller Gail Hamilton and Mervyn Warren, the album was a re-interpretation of the 1741 oratorio ‘Messiah’ by George Frideric Handel - and has been widely praised for its use of multiple genres of Black Music, including spirituals, blues, ragtime, big band, jazz fusion, R&B and Hip-Hop. The historic release featured a range of A-list talent, consisting of Andrae Crouch, Commissioned, Chaka Khan, Quincy Jones, Richard Smallwood, Sounds

 of Blackness, Thomas Whitfield, as well as Mervyn Warren himself and Take 6.


The Anniversary Concert taking place this October promises to be an explosive night of live, vibrant Gospel Music from the ‘92 release - and will feature a stellar line-up of UK and US talent including legendary acts Kim Burrell, ‘A Soulful Messiah’ alumni Mervyn Warren and Take 6, along with Tony Momrelle and Paul Lee (Royal Wedding Lead Vocalist) and more.


Speaking on the upcoming event, promoters Shaun Douglas and Darron Wint said: “We are looking forward to an unforgettable night of celebration to commemorate this historic occasion.
